This release combines all The Blanks tracks from the two original, cassette editions of A Turn... And A Halt. In the mid-1980's, these were some of our most popular tracks. A Turn... And A Halt was originally designed to give fans a nice collection as we rode off into the musical sunset. We were continually breaking up around that time and had no plans to continue.

With this collection, fans have the full New House EP as it was released (tracks 2-6 on this CD) – by far, our most popular release up to that point. And you get “Let's Vomit”, our break-through punk-inspired single – and our first Blanks collaboration with Mr. Ed.

Some hardcore fans will notice a couple of missing tracks. The original 2nd Edition had a couple of songs from other Blanks Enterprise efforts – a Ran solo song and a Revelations song. Each of us was involved in a variety of related music activity around the time; for some reason, I put a couple of these songs on the 2nd Edition cassette. It really made no sense then and it definitely makes no sense now.

I hope you enjoy this release. It's been long fabled and long hailed. Thank goodness we didn't “halt” as a band... but kept rockin' the world.
