1987: First issue, cassette single, Blanks Enterprises

We recorded this single about mid-way through 1987. Our last few recordings moved in a rock and punk direction, but we brought back our New Wave influences for this great tune. It became a Summer hit. And even though our fans loved it, we still didn't consider ourselves a working group. This was a one-off revival or reunion single.
We opened the Live To The Spirit show with this tune. I can't quite remember why but we didn't re-record it for Bean Monster Rituals. It was a natural candidate given the other songs we re-did. I believe there is a nice rehearsal take in our vaults somewhere featuring Mr. Ed (from either Live To The Spirit World or Bean Monster Rituals rehearsals).
Finally, on a technical, release note – this single was often compiled and distributed with the Vintage Blanks Sampler put out around the same time (within a few months, or even weeks of each other). So, it's often considered part of that release, even though it wasn't officially part of it and it wasn't a re-recording of an old lost tune.
